I am a fellowship-trained Assistant Professor in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at the University of Florida's UF Health Center of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (COEMIG). I am passionate about advancing the science by bridging multi-omics and patient-reported outcomes in reproductive health and addressing access to minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. I conduct research in endometriosis and adenomyosis because they are prevalent conditions that are under-recognized and understudied and their painful symptoms are commonly dismissed as normal during adolescence. Specifically, my research interests involve the influence of the microbiome and mitochondrial dysfunction in endometriosis and adenomyosis.
