About
Julianne Mann
As a pediatric dermatologist, I strive to provide the highest quality sub-specialty care in a friendly, welcoming, and child-friendly clinic atmosphere. I enjoy all aspects of pediatric dermatology, but I have a particular interest in the management of vascular birthmarks such as infantile hemangiomas, capillary malformations, and complex vascular birthmarks. I also enjoy the challenge of treating chronic skin conditions such as atopic dermatitis (eczema), psoriasis, acne, and genetic skin diseases. I have specialized pediatric dermatologic surgical training and perform surgeries both at Heater Road and at the Outpatient Surgery Center.
I am passionate about teaching, and I strive to provide my patients and their families with clear, detailed, and thoughtfully presented information. I also believe that it is important to address the potential psychological and emotional effect of visible dermatologic conditions, and I try to offer strategies for children and their families that help reduce this impact. My areas of clinical research interest include using technology to create novel shared decision making and educational tools for patients and their families, and I publish regularly on this topic. I am an active member of the Society for Pediatric Dermatology, the Pediatric Dermatology Research Alliance, and the American Academy of Dermatology.
