David Huneycutt
Dr. Huneycutt graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and went on to complete his medical education, graduating Magna Cum Laude, from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta. GA. He served his Internal Medicine Residency at Emory University Hospital and was later selected as Chief Resident at Veterans Affairs Medical Center /Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Huneycutt completed advanced fellowship training in Cardiology in 2008, also at Emory University Hospital. Dr. Huneycutt has a special interest in advanced imaging techniques in the diagnosis and management of cardiovascular disease. He is level III trained in cardiovascular MRI and cardiac CT. He is board certified in nuclear cardiology and has advanced training in transesophageal echocardiography. Dr Huneycutt is currently serving as the Director of Non-Invasive Imaging at Centennial Medical Center which offers a comprehensive multimodality approach to cardiovascular imaging. In addition to a general cardiology practice, Dr. Huneycutt has an interest in both primary and secondary prevention of heart disease through intensive dietary modification. He encourages the adoption of a whole food plant based diet in the management of heart disease, hypertension, and obesity. With aggressive attention to nutritional status, patients can often improve their health and eliminate/reduce the need for medication. Dr. Huneycutt sees patients at Centennial Heart's main office in Nashville as well as our Hohenwald, TN satellite office located at 623 West Main St., Spring Hill, TN at 3001 Reserve Blvd. Suite 201.
