BE AWARE: If you're in pain expect to wait...which is strange as Commonwealth Pain has several drs on staff at multiple locations.

I am a current patient but I am having to wait 8 1/2 weeks to see doctor. I can not see dr until 10/25.

On 8/25 I got trigger joint injections - got pain relief for 10 days. Now 1 month later I can not turn my head to the left. Saw Nurse Practitioner (NP) on 9/21 told to take muscle relaxers ...go to PT. I've done both for several months (PT 3 x wk at KORT) - various meds - unfortunately neither helps.

With the wait to see my dr and receiving no help from NP (who btw is just out of training) ...I asked to see any other another physican - whoever is available prior to 10/25 - I'll even drive to Evansville IN - just need help. Can't keep trying the same procedures, same meds and same PT that doesn't work hoping something will change.

If you choose to go to Commonwealth Pain..please know you have to be you're own advocate...I've been waiting months to see a neurologist...1st referral Commonwealth sent me to...was a neurologist with numerous negative reviews...the 2nd neurologist Commonwealth referred me to only see patients with 4th degree concussions...I need to see a neurologist for migraines. So now after waiting months to see these neurologists...I took the initiative to identify a neurologist who sees migraine patients and will now, unfortunately, due to these unnecessary delays, have to wait several additional months until 1/3/2023 to see a neurologist.

Please Note: My overall experience with NPs at Commonwealth Pain has been positive. However, they have a new NP (just out of training - I won't mention her name) who needs to continue her training and shadowing other NPs until she competent and has the skills / knowledge to help patients.

I like where things are headed with my first visit. They didn't put me back on any medicines but did recommend a nerve block injections. No more depending on meds everyday. So I'm all for DR.FOLZ.
