We came to see Dr. Barker to primarily address my son’s digestive issues. He had seen naturopaths in the past and had some testing which determined some imbalances in his gut. Recently, he has complained of stomach issues after eating. He is also reactive to his environment, as if he has allergies (i.e. constant post-nasal drip), although conventional allergy testing has only yielded a tree nut allergy. In addition, he has behavior issues related to self-regulation (“meltdowns”). Upon meeting Dr. Barker it was quickly apparent that he is very caring and patient with children. He spent time reviewing the prior testing, and found things in the lab work that previous doctors had not explained to me. I especially appreciated his detailed and thorough explanations. Through his own testing on my son (non-invasive) in the office, Dr. Barker confirmed some things that I suspected for years regarding environmental triggers. He provided me with a detailed treatment plan for my son to work on addressing his immune response and his gut, which he explained to me in steps, which made me feel relieved that we left no stones unturned. Dr. Barker is a physician who is easy to partner with. He sent follow-up email and he encouraged feedback during treatment from me so that he knows how my son is doing with the supplements. I left the first visit with a sense of hope that my son was on the road to wellness. I would highly recommend Dr. Barker to friends and family.
