Aside from that obvious advice, an efficient physician should also always treat the patient with respect.
People often avoid doctor visits as much as possible. In my case, I always look forward to an appointment with you Bob. It is always a pleasure to be treated with the highest standards and professionalism you always provide tempered with a good old dose of understanding.
