Here at Heartland we specialize in the home health aide and personal care service. We have a variety of home health aides as well as personal care aides to match each and every patient’s need and want. They are there to assist with daily activities such as but not limited to bathing, medication reminding, light housekeeping, meal preparation, assisting with transfers and accompanying patients with medical appointments. Our company has HHAs who speak English, Creole, French, Russian, Spanish and we are currently in the process of hiring Chinese speaking HHAs. The HHAs and PCAs are available 7 days a week, 24 hours. We only hire well trained aides who come from highly accredited HHA schools. When they come to fill an application they must bring their identification card, social security card, two professional reference letters on a letterhead, their HHA or PCA certificate as well as a full physical less than a year old which consists of a negative 8 panel drug screening, PPD, rubella, rubeola and a habituation statement signed by their physician.
The admission process at Heartland is relatively simple… we do most of the work. Once we obtain your referral or speak to you personally, we verify your insurance then once your case is accepted, a case manager is sent to the patients’ home as well as an R.N. to go over any necessary paperwork and develop a plan of care and establish how many hours of service you are allowed. Once that is taking care of you will be provided with a certified HHA or PCA depe
