About
Although we are based in Encinitas, we service the entire San Diego County area. We offer a free initial consultation with our Management Team to discuss the services needed along with a home safety assessment provided by our Licensed Vocational Nurse.
OUR CAREGIVERS:
Our caregivers are employees not independent contractors and are screened extensively prior to employment. Their work experience, education, references and criminal backgrounds are checked. They are bonded, insured and covered by Workers Compensation. They are tested on their skills and knowledge, attend an initial training workshop and receive continual training on elder issues such as Alzheimer’s care.

Almost Like Family Caregivers, LLC is a family-owned non-medical homecare agency which was founded by Kay Ferris and Kimberly Ferris (mother & daughter) due to the struggles their own family has gone through while trying to provide quality care for their own mother/grandmother who has been suffering from Alzheimer’s for over nine years. Our goals are to provide high quality, compassionate and nurturing care for each of our clients, improve the quality of their everyday life while reducing the stress level for the entire family. The majority of our caregivers are Certified Nursing Assistants to ensure our clients receive quality care backed by formal training, education and experience. Our Management Team provides ongoing supervision of our employees once they are placed in a client’s home and keeps in close communication with the family.Although we are based in Encinitas, we service the entire San Diego County area.
