Our hospital serves patients with multi-system issues requiring a continued care and extended recovery time, usually following a stay in a traditional, short-term acute care hospital. Some of our core services include wound care, infectious disease, pulmonary/ventilator weaning, nephrology and care for medically complex patients.
We have nurses and respiratory therapist on-site, 24 hours a day, house physician coverage and physicians round daily. Kindred Hospital Baytown has a six-bed Medical Observation Unit for our most critical patients that is staffed similarly to an intensive care unit.

Kindred Hospital Baytown is a 37-bed transitional care hospital, located on the 3rd floor of San Jacinto Methodist’s Alexander Campus.Our hospital serves patients with multi-system issues requiring a continued care and extended recovery time, usually following a stay in a traditional, short-term acute care hospital.
