Dr. Tyler Pierce - I was directly admitted to the hospital with abdominal pain after a recent laparoscopic hysterectomy. --a surgery in which he assisted I might add. In describing my pain/trouble - Dr. Pierce blatantly ignored my pain. Stating "I don't think there's anything wrong with you...I think you're fine... But since your doctor ordered the CT scan, we'll go ahead and do it but I don't think we'll find anything." Scan Results: blockage from my kidney to my bladder. My ureter was damaged during my surgery AND urine was leaking into my system. He couldn't look me in the face when giving me the results of the scan. You tried to make me think my pain was a cry for attention and not a true issue. Did you dismiss my pain because I'm an African American woman or you dismissed it because you're a male gynecologist who clearly doesn't fully understand the female body? Either way, I should have been cared for without the added demeanor of you belittling me. If I had trusted Dr. Pierce and not went thru with the CT scan and just went home, where do you think I would be right now?
