Core FIT Center in Costa Mesa is an exclusive, beautifully designed health club with an enthusiastic team of highly educated professionals creating the gold standard of healthy living for our members. Our mission is to create individualized wellness programs to fit your personal needs. Our membership capacity is limited so we can focus on members’ unique health goals. Core FIT offers Personal Training, Pilates, and Therapeutic Massage.

Our memberships are ALL Month-to-Month, including an option for Unlimited Pilates Reformer, Golf FITness, and H.I.T. classes!

Core FIT is equipped with new LifeFitness equipment, LifeFitness cardiovascular machines with television screens, free-weights, Balanced Body Pilates Reformers, luxurious massage rooms, and free WI-FI. Our fully stocked locker rooms are clean, sleek, and aesthetically pleasing. We invite you to come in and personally experience what our Core FIT Center and team is all about.

Amy Blackburn
Program Manager/Head Trainer

Favorite Fitness Activities: Hiking, golf, volleyball, weight-lifting

Amy leads the Core FIT personal training team and develops/oversees all fitness and wellness programs. She has worked with clients in over 10,000 personal training sessions, teaches classes, and develops customized goal-oriented programs focusing on core strength, balance and flexibility. Amy has a Master of Science degree in Gerontology from California State University, Long Beach, with a research focus in wellness and aging. She received her undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University in Pre-Physical Therapy, and is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). Amy enjoys working with people of all ages and abilities and loves to see you succeed!

Jaemie Ashworth
Massage Therapist

Favorite Fitness Activity: Cycling

While Jaemie was recovering from a sports injury she learned first-hand the benefits of quality therapeutic massage. It helped her so much that she dedicated herself to helping others and became a Professional Therapeutic and Sports Massage Therapist. Your first session with Jaemie includes a muscular assessment, which allows her to find the source of the pain and work on it specifically. This customization drives results and keeps clients coming back for more. It is her goal to get you feeling better and back in the game!

Laurel Silverman
Pilates Instructor

Favorite Fitness Activities: Hiking with my dogs Logan and Gatsby and Yoga.

Dance and movement study has always been an integral part of Laurel’s life, leading her to first earn a BFA in Musical Theater from Webster Conservatory then her Pilates certification. Laurel’s training began at The Pilates Studio of New York and was completed at The Frog Temple, Inc., an affiliate of The Pilates Center of Boulder, CO. Laurel started teaching in 1999, working with students of all ages and walks of life. Her passion for Pilates is evident in the energy, spunk, and humor she brings to Core FIT. She believes that Pilates is for everyone; aiming for her students to leave with physical and mental freedom and a zest to move through life.

Services Our Core FIT team takes a balanced and holistic approach to fitness. Let us be your personal guide on your journey to good health. You will begin at Core FIT with a fitness evaluation from one of our highly educated staff. This evaluation gauges your current fitness level which will allow you and your trainer to customize an individualized fitness plan that is right for you. You do not need to be a member to train or receive massage here! All of our classes and sessions are available without membership.

Therapeutic and Sports Massage

Whether you are training for an athletic event, recuperating from a weekend activity or just needing to shake off the day’s stress from work, we can get you back in your game with therapeutic massage. Our massage program is customized to your personal muscular needs.

Benefits of massage include:

• Manage stress from daily life or a single incident
• A tool for pain management – whether from an injury, chronic disease or neuromuscular disorder
• A complement to a fitness regimen and/or rehabilitation program
• Improved flexibility and range of motion
• Increased circulation
• A sense of overall relaxation

Month-to-Month Membership

Our exclusive membership at Core FIT includes full access to our beautifully designed health club filled with state-of-the art fitness equipment. We are dedicated to keeping our membership base small (no more than 10-15 people working out at one time) so we can truly focus on each of our member’s needs.

As a potential or current member, you may choose the membership option that suits you the best. All memberships include a Fitness Evaluation with one of our elite trainers.

The Fitness Evaluation includes the following assessments by a professional Personal Trainer:
• Health History/past injuries/past surgeries
• Blood pressure
• RJL Bioelectrical Impedance Body Composition Analysis
• Circumference measurements
• Cardiovascular assessment
• Overhead Squat Test
• Flexibility assessment
• Balance and mobility assessment
• Nutritional recommendations

Standard Membership includes full facility use, towel service, discounts on all services, complimentary water, tea, and coffee.

Unlimited Classes includes all the same amenities as Standard Membership plus Unlimited Pilates Reformer, Golf FITness, H.I.T., and Strength and Conditioning classes.

Premier Membership includes all the same amenities as Standard Membership plus you choose one of two options. Option A) Once a month you will meet with a trainer who will write you a 4-week fitness program. You may conveniently pick up your program each time you come in to the gym for your workout. It’s the benefit of having your own personal trainer, but the flexibility to work out at your own pace. Option B) Two 30 minute massages.

Personal Training, Semi-Private, and Small Group

All programs are personalized according to individual needs and goals, as established during a complete Fitness Evaluation. Our Personal Trainers are educated with Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degrees, nationally certified, and have at least five or more years of experience working with clients. You will find our trainers personable, friendly, and professional.

Benefits of personal training sessions include:

• Efficient and complete fitness programs that allow you to accomplish goals faster and more effectively
• Programs designed specifically to avoid plateaus
• Proper exercise technique instruction and correction to prevent injuries, spotting/lifting assistance
• Various exercise options including proper progressions/regressions according to individual strengths and weaknesses
• Assisted static stretching and recommendations for dynamic stretching as needed
• Improved strength (muscle and bone), cardiovascular fitness, balance, and flexibility
• Motivation for continued results throughout your fitness program
• Constant monitoring of your fitness programs and nutritional guidance provided

Pilates

Core FIT's Pilates class is a powerful full body Reformer workout focusing on using core stability to develop strength, while toning. This conditioning routine delivers improved flexibility, stronger muscles, improves balance and supports correct posture. Pilates can be implemented as an addition to a resistance training and cardiovascular program, or focused on for solely core conditioning and overall muscular maintenance.
