About

Dr. Levine Bruce, Psychologist

Dr. Levine is one of the only Board-Certified Clinical Psychologists in Los Angeles. He is a Clinical Psychologist at the UCLA School of Medicine and before moving to LA in 2011, he was Chief of Psychology at a large hospital in NY & Clinical Psychologist for the hit TV series "Hoarders" on A&E Network.

Within a 5-mile radius of zip code 90210 there are literally hundreds of professionals (including psychologists) offering some form of psychotherapy. However, there are only 12 Board-Certified Clinical Psychologists and Dr. Levine is one of them. You should know what this means before you select a psychologist to help with your important personal concerns and why it is important.

Dr. Levine completed a Ph.D. degree in Clinical Psychology at Hofstra University in New York. This is an APA (American Psychological Association) Accredited Ph.D. program, but there are some psychologists in California who did not graduate from APA-Accrrdited Clinical Psychology programs.

Dr. Levine then completed a 2-year advanced Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Cognitive-Behavior Therapy at Temple University Medical School in Philadelphia. You should know that completion of hospital-based post-doctoral fellowship training is NOT required to become licensed as a psychologist in California. Therefore, as you might guess, very few other psychologists in LA have completed such advanced hospital-based training.

Dr. Levine also holds the extremely unique and prestigious distinction of having served on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Behavior Therapy & Experimental Psychiatry for many years.
