Dr McGuire has conducted a successful private practice for more than 30 years. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Hunter College, received a Ph.D. from City University of New York and has had two postdoctoral fellowships. Dr McGuire specializes in the short term cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) treatment of all kinds of anxiety disorders and depression, including panic attacks, generalized anxiety, fears, phobias, OCD. She is an experienced, highly trained clinical psychologist. In marriage and couples counseling she teaches effective communication skills and relationship enhancement.
