Ridiculous shysters. I saw Bruce Shawhan for the first time on a Monday. Everything was great, he talked to me like we were old pals, and laid out a plan of treatment. Although I have a plethora of mris and xrays in their PAX computer system of my back, he ordered more xrays. First red flag. I took the NUMEROUS xrays, which I thought was excessive, and they gave me a little sheet of paper to take to the front for the ladies to use to reschedule me. Went up to the front desk, they scheduled me for a followup appointment that Thursday. Wednesday comes and I get a phone call from someone saying I was TERMINATED as a patient! The woman calling sounded more than happy to tell me this, as well. As though, nothing in life gave her more joy than to have power over a helpless individual. They said it was because I had two no shows which wasn't true!!! I asked for an explanation and then explained back to THEM that I was provided the WRONG address to their location and then once calling them to tell them I was at the wrong location, they said "Don't bother to come, we will reschedule you." Irate, they said they would look into it. I get a phone call later from his physician's assistant that it was their mistake as they had confused me with someone else on the schedule and that they would call me back that day to reschedule. Never got a call back so I called THEM back. They then proceed to spin this whole very accusing story of how it was all my fault! What the hell? Begrudgingly, they kind of...sort of..admitted it was a WHOLE big misunderstanding BUT that it didn't matter as his practice is going to be closing in a month and they had NO ONE to refer me to. THEY WERE SLOUGHING ME OFF!!!! WHAT? So wait, you are accepting new patients, KNOWING FULL WELL, that you will not be there in a month. Not only that, but you are having these new patients take xrays and God knows what else, while giving them hope, and then you decide to cancel them two days after speaking to them in person?! You shyster scammers. This is the SECOND chiropractor that I have gone to as a last ditch hope and effort to get rid of back pain that I have been dealing with for YEARS, and the SECOND time I have encountered an untrustworthy chiropractic practice that was ordering up expensive things to nickle and dime the insurance companies without the associated treatment. I am beyond insulted and pissed off.
