About
Dr. Welch studied at the prestigious Logan Chiropractic College in St. Louis, Missouri, earning her Bachelor’s of Science in Human Biology and Doctorate of Chiropractic. While there, she assisted in the operation of Harbor Light and Bogey Hills clinics, overseeing the care of several hundred patients and their families, under the supervision of Dr. Reinhardt and many other esteemed Chiropractors. She is trained in Diversified, Logan Basic, Applied Kinesiology, Cox, Thompson, Activator Methods, ART and Graston techniques.
Desiring to make a difference and be closer to family, Dr. Welch returned to her native New England and opened “New England Chiropractic” in Mystic, Connecticut. She currently resides in Westerly, RI with her grumpy manx cat Kamiah and Tibetan spaniel Suzie Q. She has practiced in Mystic, CT since 2009. She now practices part time at a second location in South Windsor Neck and Back in South Windsor, CT allowing her to provide a greater range of services to the region.
Dr. Welch is the current District Director of the Connecticut Chiropractic Association. She is certified by the National Board of Examiners and licensed in four states- Connecticut, New Hampshire, Wyoming, and Idaho.
Dr. Jennifer Welch uniquely qualified as a Chiropractic Internist or DABCI to provide patients with both sound medical assessment and the best in alternative therapies and treatment. Chiropractic Internists are uniquely trained to detect the underlying disorders/imbalances that lead to these problems by investigating possible nutritional deficiencies, food sensitivities, bacterial, yeast or parasite problems in the gut, genetic factors, heavy metal body burden, hormonal imbalances, lifestyle habits, etc. through use of conventional medical diagnostic tests, specialized functional testing, and cutting edge integrative medicine diagnostic evaluations.
