Went to FRP with lower back pain and hip pain and was contemplating surgery. They told me it was possible to put off surgery for years, or possibly not need it at all. The main focus of FRP is to get you off of pain meds. They immediately get you on board with that idea and within 2 weeks you are no longer taking meds. Dr Ellenberg 's mission, as he tells you many times, is that he warned his fellow physicians of an opioid addiction epidemic. And no one listened. The only problem is that all meds are taken away before they try to give you alternate tools. The PT aspect is beyond poor. They give you charts and graphs and show you how to use the weight machines ONCE and are then out of the picture. Their own workouts are more important. Everyone has the same exact PT program, irregardless of diagnosis. PT never touches you. When I left FRP I went to a trainer at my gym (for free) with all my info from the program. In one hour my technique was corrected, many weight machine exercises were thrown out, new ones added, and was stretched out afterward. Walked out feeling better than I had in months. $ better spent at a gym than going to FRP! Not even close.
