Kathryn Hatch, MD

Kathryn M. Hatch, a native Bostonian, received her undergraduate education at Middlebury College followed by medical school at the University of Vermont, College of Medicine and an ophthalmology residency at New York University and The Manhattan, Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital. Dr. Hatch received subspecialty training as a Corneal and Refractive Surgery fellow at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary/Harvard Medical School, where she maintains hospital privileges as a member of the active medical staff. Dr. Hatch has been a surgeon at Talamo Laser Eye Consultants since July of 2008 and in July of 2012 became Partner at Talamo Hatch Laser Eye Consultants.

Services Dr. Hatch is experienced in all-laser refractive surgery including, LASIK and PRK, advanced techniques in corneal transplant surgery, cataract surgery and premium intraocular lens surgery as well as corneal crosslinking and Intacs (intrastromal corneal ring segments) for keratoconus. Having undergone PRK herself, Dr. Hatch is able to provide her patients with unique expertise and advice.

Talamo Hatch Laser Eye Consultants was among one of the first ophthalmology practices in New England to offer and perform Refractive Laser Cataract Surgery (ReLacs with the aid of the Catalys Precision Laser System which combines a state-of-the-art femtosecond laser, advanced 3D Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) imaging. Dr. Hatch was among one of the first surgeons to perform refractive cataract surgery in New England.
Dr. Hatch also has experience in the treatment of ocular surface disease, corneal dystrophies and anterior segment reconstruction. She has advanced training in cataract surgery and the latest cutting-edge corneal transplantation surgery procedures, including both full thickness penetrating keratoplasty and the partial thickness transplant surgery, DSAEK (Descemet Stripping Automated Endothelial Keratoplasy) and DALK (Deep Anterior Lamellar Keratectomy). She also performs IEK (Intralase enabled keratoplasty) and IE-DALK and was the first eye surgeon in New England to perform IE-DALK. She also is experienced with injections for cosmetic botox.
