Melissa is a compassionate and skilled therapist! She helped me with Marriage issues, personal anxiety, depression and unfortunately for me, during therapy a suicide by a young family member. Any couple that goes to a therapist and expects for everything to be "fixed" in one session is delusional. She is very good at helping to normalize feelings and seeing the big picture of a problem, among many other therapeutic skills she posses, particularly couples issues. More often than not, couples wait to go for therapy when they are on the brink of return. No therapist can remedy a relationship for which 2 or 1 of the people in the couple has made a decision that there's no changing their mind and/or the other person is the whole problem. The person who made that dissatisfied review about Melissa just shows that they are the problem in their relationship, not the therapist! Therapy is about the person and how they handle their problems, the therapist is a tool to help that person get to a healthy place. Clearly that person wants to blame others for their problem. Melissa has absolutely NO boundary issues and is a kind person with a great deal of knowledge about her profession and is very good at helping people see things from a healthier perspective than when they go in.

Awful - went for marriage/family therapy with just my husband - problems with step children - boundaries etc. - did not help - left office always fighting and with never anything constructive that we could work on -stopped going wasn't working - unbeknownst to me brought my husband and his daughter there behind my back and discussed what my husband and I shared to my step-daughter - the same issues faced everyday - no boundaries- and a so called "professional" does something so unprofessional and even more damaging. Beware!
