About

Marianne M. Seeber, MA, EMP, LPC, CAPP, Psychotherapist

Pathways Counseling of CT is my private counseling practice, established in 2010, offering individual, couples and group sessions. I am located in historic Brookfield Center, within walking distance of Williams Park, the Brookfield Public Library, and Brookfield High School. People seek professional counseling for many reasons and I help my clients create the tool box they need for continued healing and flourishing. While we all experience emotional pain, sadness and disappointments, I will help you to identify and develop your strengths, while healing your emotional wounds.

Asking for help can be scary! I can help you deal with life's challenges. Traditional "talk therapy" can be more effective when partnered with other techniques. Body-Mind Modalities help us to gain greater awareness and open us up to new insights. Body-Mind Modalities are further explained on my website: MarianneSeeber.com.

I also offer Energy Healing, as a holistic approach to the Body-Mind-Spirit connection. It involves working with the major energy centers in the body, called Chakras, and can offer relief from chronic pain and enhance our well-being. I am an Integrative Psychotherapist, which simply means, I have had a broad education and training in many techniques and modalities. I started my counseling career 30 years ago, all the while being conscious of my own need for continued growth and personal process. I heard a long time ago “that we can only take our clients as far as we have gone ourselves” in therapy and training.

Although I had been traditionally trained, over the years I knew there had to be more and so I pursued my education in Energy Medicine and Core Energetics. In 2013 after the tragedy in Sandy Hook, CT, I felt called once again to continue my training, and I began my study of Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT/Tapping) and the field of Applied Positive Psychology. The combination of all of these modalities, I believe, gives me a unique toolbox as a therapist, so that I can best support you. Please give me a call so we can make our first appointment. Please visit my website MarianneSeeber.com for more information and I look forward to seeing you soon.

Pathways to Resiliency© is a toolbox for flourishing, a toolbox for life. I created this concept after completing my certification in Applied Positive Psychology at the The Flourishing Center in NYC in Spring, 2014. Traditional counseling tends to focus on “what’s wrong” and Pathways to Resiliency focuses on “what’s RIGHT” with you! I teach the science behind enhancing our well-being, and the skills to create our own desired quality of life. Resiliency is defined as our ability to “bounce back”. We all experience adversity at some point in our lives. Research shows that when we practice skills for resiliency, we can thrive, improve our self-regulation and experience safety in our bodies, particularly after trauma.
