Dr. Wheat specializes in the NUCCA and Graston Techniques. He came to utilize these techniques after finding out they were the only things that helped his injuries sustained first in the terrorist bombing of Khobar Towers in 1996 and then a motorcycle accident in 2008.

NUCCA is an upper cervical technique that utilizes no popping, cracking or twisting of the spine (including the neck) in any way. It is just a gentle pressure behind the ear that many people don't even feel. It is the ONLY chiropractic technique to ever be published in a medical journal, where it was shown to lower blood pressure by an average of 17 points. We see patients from all over the state of Iowa, and some come from even further. Japan has been the record for furthest distance traveled by a repeat patient. Most people come for pain relief (back pain, neck pain, headaches, migraines, trigeminal neuralgia, fibromyalgia, etc.), but we have seen runners take minutes off their per mile pace.

Graston Technique is a soft tissue mobilization technique that breaks up adhesions and scar tissue and allows the tissue matrix to reform in the proper pattern.

They did not pressure me to return for additional follow-up appointments. They usually take that extra step to make me feel special. I find my appointments here to be of value to me.

Nathan, will you please relay how many trips I made for appointments? I'm working on my tax material and need to know my trips and since I paid cash several times I'm not sure how many times I was there, also when I came with Nick. Isn't this weather something else?

I couldn't figure out how to contact you on most of the sites so hope this is coming to your office. I need this for appointment next week.

Thank you so much for your help. Marla
