Roger McFillin, Psy.D.

Dr. Roger K. McFillin is a Licensed Psychologist and co-founder of the Center for Integrated Behavioral Health. He earned his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he was the recipient of the Deans Award for Academic Excellence. He completed his pre-doctoral internship at Temple University’s Tuttleman Counseling Services and a post-doctoral residency in an outpatient multidisciplinary private practice specializing in cognitive-behavioral therapy.

Dr. McFillin is the co-author of the upcoming book Specialty Competencies in Clinical Psychology, from Oxford University Press and was a contributing author to the Handbook of Cognitive-Behavioral Approaches in Primary Care (2010) from Springer Press. He has published in the field of eating disorders and led a research project in collaboration with Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center’s Adolescent Eating Disorder Program. Dr. McFillin’s vast clinical experience has ranged across the life span from children to adults. He has worked in a children’s hospital, the juvenile justice system, public schools, a university counseling center, and outpatient clinics. He has also received specialized training from the Child and Adolescent Anxiety Disorders Clinic (CAADC) at Temple University in an evidence-based treatment protocol for childhood anxiety.

Dr. McFillin specializes in cognitive-behavioral therapy and his clinical work emphasizes evidence-based treatment for depression, anxiety disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, eating disorders, self injurious behaviors, couples therapy, performance enhancement and sports psychology, parent training, behavioral management of disruptive behaviors, school adjustment, and educational assessment. Dr. McFillin is a member of the American Psychological Association and the Association for the Advancement of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies.
