About

Dustin Powell, LPC, CACIII

I work best with clients who realize their behaviors are now affecting those close to them and want to see a change. As a cognitive therapist, I'm not exactly the touchy-feely kind. I put the primary focus on thoughts and beliefs that cause problems. Because of this approach, men relate to what's happening in therapy and feel encouraged by knowing what's changing. I work with any age group and economic satus. Some of my clients are involved in the legal system so legal problems or history don't scare me. I'll work as your advocate.

I have over 10 years of experience with drug addiction and sexual problems for teens. I use technology to teach clients to regulate their emotional world. I work with ADHD, Anger, Trauma, Violent Behavior, Marriage/Relationship Issues, Adoption, Family Problems, Spirituality and more...

Some therapists avoid "fixing" problems for their client, as a man, I love to fix problems and we will work together to find solutions. This approach works especially well in marriage and family counseling. We'll focus on solutions, not problems.
