About

Mineela Chand, M.Div., LMFT

My experiences span over eleven years in the mental health field; including four in children's mental health.I specialize in providing services which are solution-focused, brief and results oriented.I have sat on the floor to color and play with kids, cried at literally thousands of painful stories, and sat with worried and scared parents. I have listened as couples learned to see each other again, cheered as young children saw their fears disappear, and happily said goodbye as people ended therapy because they had finished the work they had started. I have seen athletes sharpen their game, encouraged executives to overcome their obstacles to success, and I have witnessed families brought back together.I am a Marriage & Family Therapist. I do therapy, teach, write, give workshops, and train other therapists.I have a private practice where I spend my days doing what I love best seeing people move towards the life they want to live.I specialize in working with individuals, couples and families who are struggling with relational difficulties due to depression, anxiety and trauma. To be able to do my job with the excellence I prefer, I have spent way too much time at school and in training. What others are saying about me:Sincere, Assertive, Likeable and Confident. She is action oriented in her therapy and keeps the client moving constantly towards getting better."Mineela is a talented therapist.""She instills self-confidence in others...she makes people believe in themselves.""...helpes people find answers within themselves and their relationships, thinks outside the box - has new and novel ways of exploring issues...what might set Mineela apart from other therapists...her questions...she asks questions people have probably not been asked before.""She is by far the most intuitive mental health professional I have come across. She trusts her client to make the decision based on what they think is best, within reason. I appreciate her goal-oriented process and feel that she genuinely cares about her clients."The clients I work best are those who have children, are in relationships and are struggling with depression, anxiety and trauma. I am also highly effective with individuals who want to remove negative self-cognitions which are hindering their progression forward in their lives and careers.Enough about me.
