Dr. Martin uses a Nervoscope, which the scientific community has proven doesn't actually work (and is a sign to watch out for with DCs). Although he was able to adjust my spine to relieve pain (after I told him where the problem was), the relief only lasted for a day or so and I was then in continual pain until my next appointment. I had regular appointments for over a YEAR, and he never once suggested that I might not be getting better, and that repeated visits were a waste of money. He also made me view my own x-rays to tell HIM what I thought was wrong, rather than just showing me (which I thought was ridiculous).
He also insisted on constantly adjusting my neck and lower back, even though I went in for scoliosis of the upper back. I've now learned that neck adjustments can cause more harm than good. So, do your homework, and make sure you know what you're getting into before agreeing to chiropractic care.
