My family was in car accidents & we elected to be treated by Dr Sullivan. She is nice & good with children, as is her assistant Evette. This was my first experience going to a chiropractor or to have an injury of this type. I remained in treatment with Dr Sullivan for a month, however, I came to believe that money was playing too significant of a role in directing the treatment Dr Sullivan was going to give. I have elected not to hire an attorney at this time but have PIP. Each time I mentioned anything that would cut into the PIP money it seemed Dr Sullivan attempted to minimize the issue, for ie. I mentioned that my 3 year old is having nightmares & regression of behavior & obsessing over the accident and I felt he needed counseling. Dr Sullivan stated that children bounce back quick, in my opinion, minimizing the situation even though my son had been in 3 car accidents in one month & I was literally in tears on several visits to her office. or ie. when I mentioned that I needed a notice to be off work, while she provided me with two, each time she informed me that PIP doesn't cover very much missed work, without even knowing whether I would be filing for lost wages with PIP or not, although it is covered & my right to file for that if I desire. Additionally, when we asked Dr. Sullivan for a bill, Dr. Sullivan refused to provide my husband with his bill. When confronted as to why she wouldn't, she offered some crazy explanation that we might run off with the money. Additionally, Dr Sullivan stated that she would schedule an MRI for me. I spoke with Evette to confirm that this was going to happen. The next time I spoke with Evette she asked me if I was going to hire an attorney. I stated I hadn't decided. Two wks later the MRI was still not scheduled. When I asked Dr Sullivan why that wasn't scheduled, since Dr Sullivan didn't communicate with me about it herself, she fumbled for an explanation, merely stating that I had made some progress. I had only been treated by her once between the time she stated she was ordering the MRI & the time I asked her why it hadn't been done & still had the same issue occurring, so this didn't make sense. My family & I elected to seek treatment elsewhere & we are so glad we did. Dr Clifford ordererd an MRI immediately. He is much more cautious with his adjustments & I am seeing improvements already. He immediately mentioned on his own that visit to a psychologist would be a great idea for us & even has a clinical psychologist in his office, as well as massage therapist. When asked if we could recieve a print out of our bill upon request we were promptly told that we can at any juncture. After the first time he worked on my husband, who's eye had been beet red since accident, his eye returned to it's natural color. Lastly, I found Dr Sullivans office to be unpleasantly dirty & messy even smelly. Our current chiropractor has an up to date office that is spotless which makes for a much more pleasant experience. Dr Sullivan has been paid by me through my PIP insurance.
