I had absolutely no interest in ever seeing a chiropractor...ever, ever, ever. The whole idea of someone moving my bones around, and the "cracking/popping" sound that accompanied it made me physically nauseous. It took much prodding from my husband to get me to just come in for their Luau event in 2010. I sat as close to the door and as far from the adjustment table as possible in order to lower the risk of vomiting and passing out. Before I was ever introduced to Dr. Travis that day, I remember just feeling
a sense of calm and security upon seeing him, and before I knew it, I was getting an evaluation and learning about the benefits of chiropractic, much to my own shock. I remember crying upon hearing how chiropractic had literally saved the lives of others, and then crying upon seeing my x-rays, never having known that, at 29, I was in such bad shape. When I first started seeing Dr. Travis, I was having horrible headaches that would last for days, lower back pain and knee pain. At my first adjustment, I was so afraid, I was shaking and didn't even want to lie down on the table. Dr. Travis was so calm, gentle, understanding, reassuring, supportive and patient. He went my snail's pace speed with a smile, talked me calmly through every adjustment and never made me feel silly for my fears or tears, or like I was a burden. After the first week of adjustments, my headaches were negligible, and by the second week they were gone. My lower back pain was reduced significantly and I began sleeping much more peacefully and comfortably at night. As for my knee, after a bad sports injury in '99, I couldn't run more than a mile without intense pain, and often not even that far. I've been through physical therapy and even had an orthopedic surgeon tell me surgery was the only solution. Dr.
Travis helped my knee through adjustments and teaching me proper squat techniques (an exercise all other doctors I'd seen had said I never would or should do again). I successfully ran the Chicago Rock 'n Roll 1/2 Marathon earlier this year, and I honestly feel it would have been an impossibility without him. He is the BEST chiropractor...doctor period...with whom I have ever been blessed to work. Dr. Travis has the rare gift of being able to make each person in the room feel as though they are the most important in his life while they have his undivided attention, a skill so very few people in the world possess. He is passionate about his work and the health of his patients. I wouldn't trust my spine, or my children's, to any other chiropractor. A huge thank you to
him and his amazing staff, who made our family feel like theirs from the first time we walked through the door.

The staff at Chiro One in New Lenox is amazing! They are flexible and understanding and really work with you to obtain maximum health! Whenever I feel tired and stressed, the friendly faces at Chiro One always cheer me up. My daughter and I have enjoyed
coming at least once a week for over a year now. We both feel great and are very satisfied with the results. Dr. Travis has helped me maintain a healthy weight, I quit smoking, and has made my body able to heal itself properly. I would and have recommended
Chiro One in New Lenox to my friends and family. You owe it to yourself to be healthy!
