A Northwest Native from Hillsboro, Oregon, Dr. Scott Lewis attended Pacific University for both under graduate and optometry studies where he also played NAIA collegiate baseball. Dr Lewis was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society and received his Doctor of Optometry degree with honors in 2000. Having practiced optometry in the Northwest for over 10 years, Dr. Lewis is excited to be practicing within the new East Vancouver/Camas Costco located at 19610 SE 1st St., Camas, WA 98607. During his final year of optometry school, Dr. Lewis had a clinical rotation at Pacific Cataract and Laser Institute where he was well trained in the areas of ocular disease diagnosis and management. This is especially helpful for patients with diseases such as diabetes and high blood pressure where your eye health is an important indicator of your overall health. When you have your eye exam, we will check the pressures of your eyes to check for glaucoma and Dr. Lewis will do a complete ocular health evaluation, including a dilation if necessary.
Exams For Glasses. Dr. Lewis will determine the most appropriate prescription glasses for your specific needs during the exam. This could include receiving a prescription for distance glasses, reading glasses, or glasses to be worn specifically at the computer. He can even put the prescription in a trial frame before ordering to make sure that you will be comfortable with your new glasses.
Exams For Contact Lenses. We fit contact lenses on patients in all age ranges. Whether you have worn contact lenses before or want to try them for the first time, we can assist you. There has been a lot of exciting developments in the contact lens industry and we have the latest lenses at our disposal. Dr. Lewis has a lot of experience fitting and training first time contact lens wearers and has a lot of new options for those going back into contacts.

He has trained many new eye doctors in the preoperative and postoperative care of laser vision surgery patients. If you are interested in Lasik, Dr. Lewis can discuss your candidacy for the procedure at the time of the exam.
You do not have to have be a Costco member in order to have an eye exam with Dr. Lewis. When you get to the entrance of Costco, just let them know you are there to see the Optometrist and they will let you inside. The only thing to keep in mind is that while you will receive your prescription from us, without a Costco card you won't be able to take advantage of the exceptional prices for eyeglasses or contact lenses at Costco Optical.
