Unmatched in personality, professionalism, and expertise of animal care. My 9 month old dachshund/corgi puppy had chewed out his neutering stitches and lost a copious amount of blood with an additional risk of infection. After traveling between my previous vet and Iowa State for treatment, Jax was still in bad shape. Iowa State had stabilized his condition but was far too expensive for a young college student. They recommended Dr. Felz.

Dr. Felz welcomed me into his office and immediately evaluated Jax's situation. In no time at all, Jax was receiving the right treatment and we planned a surgery with his associate (Dr. Reimer). He even gave me his personal cell phone number so I could stay in contact at all times! During this period in his office, Dr. Felz carefully explained all options and procedures that were available to me. He has an outstanding personality with lots of eye contact and it really made me feel my pet was in the best hands. Even after Jax had been bandaged up, we sat and talked in the office for about 20 minutes after-hours about a completely unrelated topic. He is a really great guy.

Since then, Jax has been doing great and he behaves like a new dog. I would not consider another veterinarian in town as long as Somerset is open. Give them a call!
