Services We are a private practice offering state-of-the-art consultations and the management of a wide variety of gynecologic conditions using evidence-based medicine paired with individualized treatment plans.

In addition, Dr. Carroll performs gynecologic procedures such as colposcopy and endometrial biopsy in the office, and gyn surgery such as hysteroscopy, dilatation and curettage, removal of polyps and small fibroids .

Special areas of expertise

Human papillomavirus (HPV), including colposcopy of cervix, vagina, vulva and high resolution anoscopy if indicated

Sexual medicine, including hypoactive sexual desire, arousal, orgasm, and sexual pain disorders

Vulvovaginal disorders: vulvodynia, vulvar vestibulitis syndrome, lichen sclerosus, lichen simplex chronicus, vulvar granuloma fisuratum (recurrent tearing), vaginismus

Vulvovaginal infections: chronic yeast, bacterial vaginosis (BV), streptococcal vaginitis (strep)

Perimenopause and menopause, with treatments from nonhormonal to bioidentical transdermal hormones, as indicated

Bleeding disorders such as fibroids, polyps, dysfunctional uterine bleeding managed as appropriate with medical or surgical treatments, such as hysteroscopy, dilation and curettage (D+C), endometrial ablation using Novasure or Thermachoice technique

Contraception including pills, rings, patches, and IUD and Essure sterilization

Menstrual migraine and hormonal headaches

Pelvic pain syndromes, such as endometriosis, chronic pelvic pain

Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) and some mood disorders exacerbated in perimenopause

Annual preventive gynecologic health care for all ages
First pelvic exams for adolescents
Pelvic exam for women with posttraumatic stress disorder

Lesbian, bisexual, and some transgender health issues
