I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with the Tennessee Board for Professional Counselors which allows me to practice counseling independently in the State of Tennessee. I have worked in the counseling field since 1998 and my scope of practice has included crisis and brief counseling, in-home family counseling, individual counseling with children and adults, and marriage counseling. Additionally, I have worked as a Director of a statewide crisis program and supervised other counselors in their professional and clinical development. I presently specialize in working with older teens and adults on phase of life issues that include depression, anxiety, anger management, marriage/relationship issues, transitional living, grief and loss, pre-marital counseling and pre/post divorce work. I also provide licensure supervision to master's level counselors seeking licensure hours.
I work from an eclectic approach that encompasses Cognitive Behavioral and Person-Centered counseling techniques. My goal is to help you understand your feelings in the context of the crisis in your life and help uncover patterns to better health.
