Education Graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition Management, went on to Syracuse University to complete a didactic internship (required 900 hours of supervised practice in the dietetics field to become a registered dietitian), and completed a Master of Science degree in Health Education at Sage Graduate School.
Training I have been a registered dietitian for over 10 years. I have worked in a variety of settings: hospitals, nursing homes, home care settings providing medical nutrition therapy; working with clients doing one on one nutrition counseling; creating nutrition classes for groups on various topics; cooking in large food service kitchens; assisting with product development and nutrition food labeling for a large chain grocery store. I have spent several years working in the education field, and created classes for middle school students to teach them healthy lifestyle habits. I am a certified Pilates instructor and have been teaching pilates classes for two years. In addition to being a Registered Dietitian, I am also a Certified Dietitian Nutritionist (certification for New York State dietitians)
