Lisa Snipper and Associates is a group practice providing individual, couples, family and group counseling to children through adults. We offer comprehensive treatment to individuals as well as their families. When working with adults common issues that we work with are people who are experiencing depression/anxiety, grief/loss, separation/divorce, interpersonal conflicts, job/career stress or issues related to self esteem. Some people come in with specific goals in mind that they are interested in working on short term, and others are looking to make sense of past choices and behaviors in order to improve their well being and lead healthier more fulfilling lives. We are able to provide short and long term counseling and work with every client to establish their own treatment goals. We also treat children and adolescents through individual, group and sometimes family therapy. All of our therapists are trained in play therapy (some of whom use child centered play therapy and others draw from a cognitive behavioral approach.) When seeing children we are able to help with issues related to school difficulties (including ADHD/learning issues) anxiety/depression, grief loss, bullying, behavioral difficulties, aspergers and social skill deficits. We also provide parent counseling/coaching to supplement the individual work we are doing with your child. When treating adolescents we provide individual and group counseling to provide support around issues related to self esteem, body image, depression/anxiety, separation/divorce, family conflicts, school difficulties (from low academic drive to high achieving students), gender identity issues and interpersonal issues. Snipper and Associates keeps up with the latest research, and all of the therapists participate in ongoing additional training and supervision to enhance our clinical skills.
