I am a North Carolina Licensed Professional Counselor (#3533) and National Board Certified Counselor (#48526). I have been a licensed counselor in North Carolina since February, 2000 and a Nationally Certified Counselor since May, 1997. I have over 20 years of counseling experience with my undergraduate degree (BS) from Bethany College in Santa Cruz, California, emphasis in counseling, awarded in 1981. My Masters in Counseling (MA) was awarded in 1997 from the University of New Mexico. I have practiced in a variety of settings, including outpatient mental health, area mental health center, homeless shelters, substance abuse programs, psychiatric hospitals, prison, residential halfway houses, and in-home therapy.I specialize in the treatment of children, adolescents, and families.
