My weight was so unbearable, I could hardly get out of the chair on my own. Whenever I would go out in public people would stare at me. I would feel so embarrassed, but I didn’t know what to do so I’d spend most of my free time at home. This only made my situation worse. I would sit with my cats, eat and watch TV. My only friends were on line. I wasn’t living life anymore just getting thru. I now have a support network of people I can count on. Go for morning walks and have been gradually losing my excess weight.
My life was always great, except for my stress eating. Great job, great husband, great family and friends, so why couldn’t I just stop eating. It was making me miserable inside. I realized that I was using food as a blanket to cover up all the painful feelings I had when things didn’t go my way. Eating at parties and for reward was also part of my cycle. I’m grateful to finally start enjoying my life and eating normal healthy portions. My weight has been the lowest it’s been in years.
