I first started seeing Grace Vedala after being referred for physical therapy by Campbell Clinic. The treatment was great. She seemed like she knew what she was doing, the atmosphere was relaxed, and it genuinely seemed to help my injury. However, after a month or two I was forced to stop seeing her due to an insurance issue. My insurance is out of network for her practice and due to a payment issue my family's entire health insurance plan was locked for well over 6 months. After sorting everything out with our insurance, we were asked to have her file as out of network on all services and the insurance company would be able to send her payment. After multiple discussions with Grace's husband (the business side of MFR) I went to see Grace again. However, she refused to file out of network. She stated that dealing with insurance companies is too much hassle (like I don't know that), and that it takes too long for her to get paid. She demanded payment, in full, at the time of service, and that I could file with my insurance if I chose. After informing her that our insurance requested that she file with them, she informed me that she would not and that I could no longer see her. Despite her excellent skills as a therapist, she and her husband clearly have no understanding of the business aspect of medicine. For a therapy practice to refuse to file with an insurance company is a little beyond my grasp of reason. I don't see how it should be the patients responsibility to file out of network simply because you, as a provider, don't want to "jump through hoops." It is also perplexing why, if I was going to be paying out of pocket for each session, I should pay the full amount, instead of a prorated amount like most practices offer.

Long story short: Grace is an good therapist, but a terrible business woman.

The best ever!! The best relief from pain I have ever had. I can not recommend Grace ENOUGH! She is AWESOME. I wish everyone could experience relief like I did from my appts. If you are uncomfortable, or in pain........see Grace at MFR.
I didn't experience any unnecessary pain during my visit, and I was amazed at how much better I felt after I left. They go out of their way to make everyone feel equally respected and cared for. I've seen client favoritism at some of the other places I've been, and I really appreciate the extra effort they make to avoid that here. They do such a great job of never overbooking appointments, even though they are extremely popular. I know for a fact that they have lots of business, but I've never had to wait a long time in a crowded waiting room like other places I've been too. Not only do my appointments never get canceled last minute, they take time out of their day to send me a reminder so I don't forget. They are extremely reliable. After just a few appointments I could tell their advanced and sophisticated equipment was really helping in my recovery. I knew I'd be back to my old self in no time.
