I received my first yoga certification, in Kripalu Yoga, in 1979 and have been teaching ever since. I received my second yoga certification, in Amrit Yoga, in 2004, and have recently completed training in pregnancy and post-natal yoga. I am a Registered Nurse (my clinical experience is primarily labor and delivery, post-partum, and newborn care). I have a Master's Degree in Health Services Administration, and I am pursuing a second Master's Degree in Yoga Education through Hindu University of America.
I am also a certified Zumba instructor!
Over the years, I've taught in my own studio, various YMCA's, churches, inside classes, outside classes...you name it!
Yogi Desai has always counseled us to "meet people where they are." Following his advice, I have begun offering yoga classes to people striving to improve their health--a perfect marriage of both facets of my professional life!
It gives me great satisfaction to bring yoga to you. It is truly an empowering practice that can be life-changing!
