Dr. Doug has been in private practice since July, 1983, following the completion of his doctoral training at Texas Chiropractic College. He practiced first in Houston for 7 years before moving to Birmingham, where he has been since 1990. With extensive additional training and experience in the diagnosis and treatment of sports injuries, auto accident injuries, hands-on soft-tissue massage, and rehab, Dr. Doug has often stated that if it's musculoskeletal, doesn't need surgery, and it's between the top of the head and the soles of the feet, he can probably help. And yes, he does sing...to his boss and savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. :-)

Dr. Charles got right to the issue. I saw him as few times. I recovered from the neck pain. I have not needed to return in over 17 years. If I needed a chiropractor, I would gladly go back to Dr. Doug Charles. I have referred friends to him several times.

Dr. Charles is a fabulous chiropractor who listens to your concerns and runs the appointment accordingly. I love that my appointments with him are always focused on whatever issue I bring to him instead of him shoveling me through a series of preset treatments, like I have experienced at other chiropractor offices. Not only is he professional and extremely knowledgable, but he also has a fantastic intuition for finding the cause of your injury and working it out. My appointments with him include adjustments and deep tissue work, and he is always educating me on how to provide care and therapy for myself at home as well. Plus he has a great personality and sometimes sings during my appointments. If you are looking for an amazing chiropractor, go see Dr. Charles!
