I saw Dr. Massumi for the first time and let me tell you, he was great! I have been dealing with all over bodyaches and pain and was tired of pain meds. he gave me injections that do help. I was sore for a little after injection, but the pain and stiffness that would not let up did. Dr. Massumi finally gave me hope and i am looking very forward to continuing to see him. I feel if the pain let up in that one area then the next series of shots in my neck and shoulders will let up too. He has giveing great hope that there are other options other than pain meds...

If I could give this doctor zero stars, I would. He seems nice enough, a little eccentric but friendly. What is strange about him is the fact that he tries to pry into his patients personal business is very odd. He frequently asks about my family (whom he does not know) and my boyfriend, whom he does not seem to like and puts his 'unwanted' input in on by stating I should date someone with more money. Then there was the whole "He's being bossed around by big name insurance companies". He told (I'm assuming all of his patients) that they were trying to close him down unless he installed special equipment which used radiation in order for him to see where he was injecting the medicine. He made it sound like he was being treated unfairly and that he did not want to expose us all to un-needed radiation. This was very convincing and I totally agreed with everything he told me. So after whining about this every time I went in (once a month), a year went by and he began asking me to write him a patient testimony, basically stating my story. He pretty much told me what to write, which consisted of when my problems started, my experiences with other doctor(s) before I came to him and how he helped me. I admit I DID feel better after coming to him (for a little while), however; he injected me waaaaaay too often and my back became very sensitive because of this. Of coarse in my testimony I stuck up for him, being I felt sorry for the fellow and truly believed he had the patients best interest at heart. Needless to say, his clinic was shut down for 3 months. I thought this was strange, but again he had already advised me that this was to get this large expensive equipment installed. My next visit around 4 months later, I saw this 'so-called' equipment. It was this little machine with wheels that only stood about 3 feet off of the ground. It seemed sketchy to me. You closed for THREE MONTHS FOR THIS? Hmmmmm, I started to wonder if he was full of s**t. This was when I decided to look him up. In case you didn't know, you can look up ANY doctor and see if they've ever been in trouble. Well, well, well.....what do you know? Ole' Dr. Massumi was sanctioned. For what you ask? Giving his patients way too many injections, injecting waaaay too much medicine at a time, crappy doctor's notes and the list goes on. Go ahead, look it up. So, this man LIED to his patients to get them to write those testimonies, never telling them the REAL reason why he needed them. He LIED to his patients about the reason why his office was closed for 3 months. New equipment my a*s! On top of that, Blue Cross/Shield won't even insure you if you go to him anymore. He then feeds you a line of BS, stating all other doctors are soooooo much more expensive than him. Yeah, ok.......how is that true when ALL OTHER DOCTORS ARE COVERED UNDER MY INSURANCE YOU DIP WAD?! He is such a dirty liar. He writes at least 5 prescriptions per patient of crap that'll make you loopy ( for the $$$ of coarse). Honestly, I only took 2 of my prescriptions ever, if I took all I could barely stay awake, and if you tell him, he CONTINUES to write them anyways. Yes, you heard me correct---the idiot still wants you to take them. Oh, and if you don't get them all filled at the pharmacy (apparently he can see which ones you get filled) he YELLS at you! It's because he gets money for writing them. Hence the reason almost everyone that goes to him is on the same crap. Oh, can't forget that he tries to market himself to your friends and family. He tells you that he can see ANYBODY for their aches and pain, and psych issues. He even said he can see them as a general doctor. He doesn't even care! This man is a LOON! At first, he seems eccentric, but he seems to care. Do not be fooled. He should NOT have a license to practice medicine. He is a real quack. If you don't believe me, read his sanction. You can easily find the whole thing on the web. It contains the truth. Do not let this man lie to you. As for patients still seeing him, I feel sorry for you. Get out while you can!
