I had emergency Chevy uni-shunt placement for hydrocephalus in Dec 1981 in Santa Rosa. Dr. Carlin was the attending neurosurgeon. I don't remember anything about him until my 6-week post op appointment. This shunt is still functioning. A second shunt was placed opposing side at Sacred Heart, Eugene, Oregon in 2007. I owe my life to this wonderful physician.
