I found out about Dr. Aldea from the internet. I was looking for a board certified surgeon that hadn’t killed anyone.
After reading through 10 or 12 different doctors, I made an appointment with Dr. Aldea after reading all his credentials, and seeing the beautiful work.
My first appointment with Dr. Aldea was awesome I was pleased with his over all attitude, and his secretary Lilly just blow my mind with her sweet disposition. Dr. Aldea told me things that other doctors did not. He made me feel so comfortable, and he was very realistic about my surgery and recovery.
I have had other visits since then but I have not had my surgery. Let me tell you why. Dr. Aldea is not out to just get money he is a loving, understanding man and wants what’s not just best for his pocket but what is best for his patients. Yes I was suppose to have my surgery September 11, 2014, but after my before surgery appointment. Dr. Aldea let me know that it would be best if I lost more weight (70 lb) before he preformed the surgery. He let me know that if I wanted to have the surgery on September 11th, he would perform it but he was recommending that I lose the 70 lbs first so I would heal properly and not have any complications with my wounds coming open again.
You know God sends special people into our lives so that our lives and well being will be extended to where he wants us to be. Dr. Aldea is definitely one of those God sent angels to me. And his secretary Lilly is just the icing on the cake.
If you are looking for the best surgeon and staff (Lilly) in the world please take the time to read up on Dr. Aldea and his awesome accreditations and credentials. Then when you meet him and Ms. Lilly, you will see for yourself, they are both angels and are not just out to get rich but to save lives.

LIAR, FRAUD, AND CON ARTIST! DON'T GIVE HIM YOUR MONEY. THE RUDEST, MOST ARROGANT SURGEON EVER! DON'T GO TO HIM! IF YOU HAVE GONE AND ARE THINKING OF SELECTING HIM, THEN DON'T RETURN! He talks a good game to get your money. He spends a lot of time answering questions but don't think he'll give you the time of day after he gets your money.

I paid in advance for surgery that was cancelled due to having an unknown condition known as PVC. I didn't know I had PVC until I was on the operating table. Did I mention he showed up an hour late for my surgery with no apology, excuse or anything? After canceling the surgery he said he would not charge me and would do the procedure later if I got cardiac clearance. He set up an appointment for me with a cardiologist. The cardiologist said I was fine, the PVCs were benign, and I was low risk for any significant cardiac event during this planned surgery and sent him letters to clear me.

After several clearance letters he was never satisfied with them. He used every excuse in the book to find fault with the letters. He never returned phone calls when I asked for a better explanation to give the cardiologist so that they could provide the clearance letter he wanted. He hid behind his patient coordinators and ducked numerous calls that I made for MONTHS. His coordinators just kept saying he needs to know the procedure is safe for you. No cardiologist in their right mind is going to say a procedure is safe they will only classify you as high, med, low risk. I kept trying to explain what the cardiologist told me but the coordinators stuck with their stand-by line, "Dr. Aldea needs to make sure it's safe."

I kept asking for him to call me back personally to discuss what I should do next since he was not happy with cardiology letters, but he never would for MONTHS. I got upset and told his coordinator to be real with me and let me know if he didn't want to do the surgery. And that if he didn't want to do it that he owed me a refund.

Finally, he decides to grace me with a direct response, a letter (How pathetic, not even man enough to call). He replies that I was disrespectful and ungrateful and that since I wanted to cancel, here's your money minus NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT of $750. I responded WAIT A MINUTE! I didn't request to cancel I only wanted a refund if you didn't want to do this procedure. I requested a phone call and the truth, can we address that first before you jump to the refund? He never would respond back.

His patient coordinator continued to lead me on saying later that he would not do the surgery unless he got clearance he was comfortable with. The coordinator said if I got clearance I could repay him. I saw another cardiologist got a stronger clearance letter. His patient coordinator avoids me for a few days after this. When I finally catch up to the coordinator they confirm that he got the new letter and then proceeded to set up an appt saying that I had to be reconsented, and go over new fees etc. I thought this was fishy, so I called the hospital to check on these new fees the coordinator mentioned. The hospital said the fees had not changed. So I let it ride thinking optimistically that maybe the coordinator was just ignorant about the fees like so many other things the coordinator didn't seem to know.

Then the coordinator calls back a few days later saying we needed to reschedule appt but we play phone tag for days. When we finally connect on the phone the coordinator says "Dr. aldea doesn't want to work with you b/c he feels the relationship is tarnished! " ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Why did you even set up an appointment then? Then I ask about my $750 b/c he flaked out, not me. I got the clearance and I never said I wanted to cancel the procedure. She says, "oh that's non-refundable." Additionally I've lost hundreds of dollars on hospital fees, medications, cardiology visits and still no surgery. Painful lesson to learn.

This guy is a world-class jerk. He thinks he's the smartest, most gifted surgeon, but he's really just an average joe, he has a serious speech impediment (stuttering) it's really hard to understand him, and he just tries to get over on trusting people! He never had any intention on operating on me once he found out I had PVC. His intent was to wear me down and frustrate me so I would give up and he would be able to keep his deposit. His refund policy is pretty stiff. He provides every out you can think of to keep certain fees. Even if you are determined to have a condition that you didn't know about he gets to keep a large deposit. Here's an idea...why don't you order an EKG before you get someone on the OR table. That way neither of you get surprised. He's very clever in how he ropes you in. You don't get consented and learn about his non-refundable fee structure until after you've paid for the surgery.

The day I was scheduled to have surgery while we were sitting around waiting for him to grace us with his presence, various members of the nursing staff at St. Francis in Memphis described him as frequently LATE, RUDE, AND INSENSITIVE. So before you pay him ask around at St. Francis to learn more about his rep.

Believe me you can do better than this guy. There are tons of surgeons out there. Don't be fooled like I was. I foolishly believed all the good things that his staff said about him and the few favorable patient reviews I found on websites. But keep in mind, his staff is paid to say nice things about him and somehow the bad reviews have not gotten out there. I refuse to believe I am the only person he has treated poorly. He's even been sued or had a claim filed against before you can find it on the internet but you have to dig. He is a filthy, greedy person and I bet it took years of practice and screwing people over to get this way. OR maybe he was just born EVIL.

I should have done more research before I shelled out my hard earned cash. So here's the 1st negative review on Dr. Aldea. If there are more out there please speak up and save people from going through what I have. If you want more details on this man send me your contact information and I will respond.
