I have no personal or family history of mental health. I have worked in mental health for 23 years, & have interviewed, hired, and supervised hundreds of mental health counselors. In addition to experiencing a significant amount of stress, when my daughter left for her first year of college I began to struggle with symptoms of depression. A very well respected colleague suggested I seek cognitive behavioral therapy but I disagreed, not only because I didn't think I would benefit, but also because I worried about what others would think if they found out. My colleague contacted a number of professionals in Eastern OH and quickly discovered Nancy Sakmar was the MOST highly recommended. I was really hesitant about scheduling and presumed that after my first session I would not reschedule. I was totally wrong - from the very first session Ms. Sakmar made an incredible difference & in subsequent sessions has completely changed my life! God sure knew what He was doing when He put Nancy Sakmar on the path of my journey. Ms. Sakmar has a God-given talent and is truly a blessing!
