I am excited to be serving the Gainesville and Centreville areas of Northern Virginia! Many of us live busy lives here that are not necessarily conducive to a calm nervous system. My therapy incorporates the latest in neuroscience, providing you with techniques to use quickly, in order to adjust your nervous system, and get some sense of relief, as well as the ability to take that relief into your relationships in useful ways. The field of psychotherapy has so much information now regarding the importance of calming the nervous system through self-awareness. By learning about the ways in which your body and mind express tension and challenging emotions, you can then use that knowledge, and the skills that I will teach you, to reduce stress. This relief for the body and mind then gives your brain a chance to relate to yourself, your loved ones, and your life from a more satisfying and skillful place inwardly, which can improve your relationships as well as your own personal happiness.
