Researching Conrad, I read the 2/29/08 Yelp post. I hired Conrad for an evaluation in 2008 based on positive statements by a family law attorney and a child developmental psychologist. I think it appropriate and hopefully helpful to corroborate the 2/28/08 reviewer's criticisms.

Conrad takes sides and collaborates with her chosen parent. I found her astonishingly cavalier. After just one interview with my daughter's mother, and nearly at the beginning of her first interview with me, she proposed giving me full physical custody. I was astonished that she so casually and recklessly proposed a determination that could radically affect our 3 year old daughter's life.

Although, I had hired Conrad as an evaluator due to very troubling issues, I was shocked at her blase attitude toward my daughter's mother.

Her finished evaluation -- which took her over 6 months to submit -- was grotesquely one sided and riddled throughout with serious factual error. Other matters strongly implied astonishing carelessness if not recklessness -- and unfortunately, dishonesty.

Her evaluation cost $15,000. Our daughter's mother and I each determined it of little worth and unusable. We set the evaluation aside -- months of stress, effort and $15,000 thrown away.

Conrad did not demonstrate ethical or clinical competence conducting our evaluation.

Hopefully, Conrad has ceased functioning as a child custody evaluator.

Note: Despite parents' intense passion and personal biases, I think parents often may be be better judges of evaluators' work than psychologists loath to say anything negative about a peer, and family law attorneys and judges. Parents, albeit with strong personal viewpoints, interact much more intimately and longer with evaluators. Evaluators are much less inclined to present facade with parents than with the judges and attorneys they rely upon for their work, and until review sites like Yelp, their reputations.

At the very least, parents' opinions and reviews despite their biases should not be dismissed.
