I do not recommend this facility for dementia patients. They do not seem to understand that dementia includes agitation, aggression, and combativeness. I was told by a nurse that "my staff are not trained to handle this." Why not? This is a normal part of dementia. I took my father out of there at the recommendation of a psychiatrist and a social worker. In a four month period, he was sent to a behavioral health facility three times. The last time the psychiatrist told me he should not have been sent there. There is only so much that medicines can do and The Arbors seems to think pills are the answer to everything.
