Most horrible experiences with pet treatment and boarding. My cat was misdiagnosed at this facility, which unfortunately passed months later. Also, after boarding my other pets with them a few times, noticed pet behaviors were odd ( shaking, eye issues, vomiting, pupils odd). Never have I seen them in this condition after boarding anywhere else. The second time I showed up a day early to pick up my pets, the entire staff was FREAKING out, wouldn't allow me to see my animals. Asked "why didn't I call them to let them know I was coming," which I had btw. They kept me from seeing my pets and said "can't you come back tomorrow.? When I said NO, they made me sit and wait 40 minutes while they advised "the doc is bathing them, and inspecting them". They wouldn't tell me why. What were they hiding I thought. As I waited the various staff kept frantically coming and going to ensure I wasn't attempting to come to the back. Once I could see them they were all wet and shaking horribly, really horribly--frightened by something. I made a tearful cry next morning to C--the office manager, who could care less of how I felt, and said I simply just had to trust them, not more she could do. I went above her and wrote a letter to her manager and sent copy to T Hawthorne, and received absolutely no response. To add.. .had a pet emergency with my dog, unfortunately Lake City Animal was on call that evening only--the return call from their responding vet at that time advised she is at home in bed and for her to take pet to University Gainesville. Friend of ours shared same experince. Do these people love our pets, think not. The hanging, hunted animal heads above the front desk should be everyone's tell-tale sign to stay away! Know you've been warned.
