I just went through the absolute worst experience of my LIFE! I will NEVER again take my pets to this place. My dog hasn't been feeling well so we went in to see what was going on. We were on time for our appointment (actually a few minutes early) and they kept us waiting for an entire hour!!! My dog is already not feeling well and now he's becoming more and more on edge. Their rooms are VERY small and they are definitely not set up to handle a giant breed dog - I have a Great Dane. Regardless, I stayed and attempted to give them the benefit of the doubt because this is where he started as a puppy and it was simply more convenient (or so I thought). After being taken into the room they made me take my leash off and they put a very small nylon lead around his neck...something you would use in a show ring - NOT in a situation like this. I told the tech I was not comfortable with her doing this - he is a very large dog and there was no way to keep control of him with that. She proceeded to tell me that I basically didn't have a choice. At this point she decided it was time to put him on the table so he would be ready for the vet to see him - keep in mind that this "table" she wanted him on has a lift and isn't wide at all! I, again, told her I was uncomfortable and that I didn't want him on there...if he was lifted into the air and slipped he could hurt himself. Why couldn't the vet just examine him while he stood on the ground? Again, I was told I didn't have a choice and that he would be fine. I helped him onto the table and the tech lifted it about a foot and a half to two feet. I stood right at his side to ensure he wouldn't slip off and tried my best to keep him calm. It became obvious at that point that this girl was trying to get me out of the way because she was attempting to put herself between me and my dog, however I wouldn't move. The entire time this was happening they had the door to the back room open so my poor dog saw that as a way to get out of this extremely small room that had numerous things hanging low and spinning from the ceiling - his anxiety was getting worse. Dr. Woodie decided to make an entrance finally - over an hour after his scheduled appointment time. She stepped up to my dog and began speaking very loudly - she was completely oblivious that he was becoming more and more nervous. Shortly after she came into the room he attempted to back off of the table to get away from her. Please keep in mind that my boy is VERY sweet and loves people...in fact another customer in the waiting room brought her infant daughter over to play with him while we waited. I stepped behind him to catch his weight before he fell and looked up to see the vet tech literally choking my dog with their line!!! I couldn't believe it! She just kept pulling and pulling on it and he started thrashing to get away from her - instead of listening to me as I was yelling at her to let go of him she just kept right on pulling! I saw my dog reach his breaking point and he opened his mouth...I knew without a doubt that he was ready to bite her to protect himself. Thank goodness my husband stepped up and physically took him off of the table and away from those fools. He proceeded to tell them that it was obvious they had no idea what they were doing...they did NOT know how to treat an animal properly let alone handle them. I am appalled by what happened today and broken hearted for my pet. I received no apology, no reason for their actions...absolutely no reaction at all from the vet so I've pulled his records and will be taking him elsewhere. I can only hope that our boy doesn't remember this experience and let it scare him in the future :( PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS HERE!!!! It is clear they have no concern or care for your pets...so very, very sad...

Dr Woodie puts the animal needs first. She is dedicated and caring and listens to the owners speaks in a matter of fact. Her staff is efficient and more than willing to help owners. She goes out of her way to provide all possible care needed to keep your animal healthy, and I am sure, Dr Woodie has been instrumental in making sure that my dog has lived a happy 18 years.
