Our office is about healing on many levels. After 27 years of experience I realize how unique and specific I have to be with each person.
So it is very important to check not only the bones but the muscles, nerves and nutrition levels.
I first check the vertebrae, ribs, shoulder blades, cranial and all other related bones. Next I check your muscles for adhesions, tightness and weakness. Sometimes the muscles are weak due to the nerves not firing it correctly.

Vitamin and minerals are checked as well and then food allergies. Stretching and exercises are given if needed.
I use lots of different chiropractic techniques because we are all so different in size, sensitivity, muscle mass etc.I like to use a system of biofeedback called Applied Kinesiology which taps into your bodies own nervous system to tell us where your problem or issues are. I also have another degree in Sports Injuries.

I've relocated to the bay area and haven't been in Chico for many years. I'm looking into finding a chiropractor now and my old chiropractor Dr. Shepherd flashed through my mind. I just wanted to leave feedback for those interested in Dr. Shepherd and say he went the extra mile in taking care of me. I think he's a great chiropractor and if you're looking for someone who care's about helping you he's definitely a guy who'll help you out. Great service, informative, great chiropractor!

I was given a polite greeting when I walked in. It was nice to be acknowledged. Their staff is very friendly and professional. They were easy to reach in an emergency. When I called they answered right away and I was so relieved to hear a friendly voice. The care is profesional and extensive with great relief of symptoms. I recommend this chiropractor
