As an avid cyclist and athlete I started experiencing pain in my right shoulder that eventually spread down my arm. My arm started to tingle and feel numb every time I put pressure on my handle bars. After several months of not being able to ride with my husband on Saturday mornings on the Silver Comet Trail, I started my journey of fixing my arm sensations that was now becomming painful. My primary doctor said it was nothing and put me on 800mg of Ibuprofen and an anti-inflammatory. I was so excited when the pain went away but then it came right back when I hadn’t taken the pain medications. My Doctor then sent me to an Orthopedist who after 4 frusturating visits scheduled an MRI and wanted to do all these expensive diagnostic test. I was beginning to think that I had a very serious condition. I was referred to Chiropractic Specialties by a fellow rider and after months of putting off the appointment I finally made the decision to call and “investigate” what they could do for me. I went in for the consult and felt safe and at peace right away. It was a different way of “doctoring” for sure- but I really felt I was in the right place. They talked to me about my x-rays with no frills and were straight to the point. I was then told of the cost and how my insurance would support my care. My husband totally objected so I decided not to go back even though I knew I was making a poor decision. So, then I was back at square one! UGH! The MRI revealed nothing wrong with me. The orthopedist sent me to Physical Therapy Mon, Wed and Fri. I finally quit after 2 weeks of getting nowhere, and drove straight back to Chiropractic Specialties and did absolutely everything they said to do. I am now 100% pain free with no pain. I ride my bike every single Saturday with my hubby again and now my husband is also patient too! Awesome, awesome, awesome chiropractors! Dr. Kyle has been a life saver. We are happy to report our "Success Story".
