This therapist is not willing to help blended families work through difficult times. It seems that this therapist is only willing to listen and work with one side of the family (completely excluding the other side, our side) and he also makes statements on record to court officials without merit or evidence. Even with a recommendation that conjoint therapy be introduced, this therapist has not been willing to work this into his practice. I have offered this therapist peer reviewed literature in hopes that this therapist could gain insight into where we feel the issues are arising from and this therapist is not willing to accept the possibility of it. I do question if this therapist seeks or pursues further education in his field, as psychotherapy is a practice and new methods, practices and syndrome/disorder are being introduced into the field. It is saddening to know that this therapist and session he has with my child will not be the help that we sought out instead seems to be part of the problem.
