I saw Dr. Jamieson for personal counseling for several months, as did my son. I found his experience to very useful. He helped me deal with depression and anxiety, and he helped my son with Asperger's Syndrome, with which he had a great deal of experience. In retrospect, I wish he had recognized my son's anxiety and recommended medication for it. Still, he was a great benefit to me and my family. (The comment someone posted about billing practices was very different from my experience; he was patient and helpful with the insurance process.)

Dr. Jamieson has a policy, which he stated was his normal and usual policy, of sending out a "final bill", then within a week, without any attempt to make payment arrangements, and even if the bill has been partially paid by insurance and a large portion of the bill has already been paid by the patient, who is waiting to receive insurance payment information from the insurance company, if the "final bill" is unpaid immediately in full, he threatens, in writing, to file a bench warrant for his patient's arrest if the bill is not paid in full in a week. This was not a long standing bill, nor overly large. The entire process from the final visit to the bench warrant threat was approximately 60 days, during which time the patient had to wait several weeks for insurance information to be mailed out. No calls were ever made by Dr. Jamieson, nor were there any other attempts to collect payment prior to the "bench warrant" threat.
